The Ukrainian State Radiofrequency Center is ready for issuing the first permitting documents for operating mobile base stations of the fourth generation to mobile operators, according to the Center’s website.
USRC’s Executive Director Vadim Gulko noted that the other day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine approved the documents, permitting to use the radiofrequency resource, to the operators. It allowed the state enterprise employees to complete works in establishing frequency assignments and issuing permissions for radio-electronic facilities of the new connection standard.
“The long-awaited 4G within the range of 2600 Hz will finally become available. Therefore, it is also good news for service users, who will be the first to get benefits of the modern technology – reliable and high-speed Internet”, Vadim Gulko noted.
Executive Director also noted that after the operators obtain respective licenses, the implementation of 4G within the range of 1800 MHz will become real.
“4G is the prospect of not one day. The technology will be implemented like 3G – gradually”, he added.
